EGU26 general assembly

The EGU General Assembly 2026 brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences.It will take place from 5 - 8 May 2026 in both on-site in Vienna, Austria, and virtually. 


The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly is the largest geoscience conference in Europe, bringing together more than 21,000 scientists from around the world. Organized by the European Geosciences Union, the meeting covers a broad range of Earth, planetary, and space science topics, including climate science, natural hazards, oceans, atmosphere, hydrology, resources, and planetary exploration. It provides a platform for researchers at all career stages to present new findings, exchange ideas, and discuss solutions to major environmental and societal challenges. The conference reflects EGU’s mission to advance fundamental and applied geoscience research and to support a sustainable and just future for the planet.
