NINA (Norway)

The Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA) is Norway's leading institution for applied ecological research, delivering knowledge and solutions across public and private sectors, focusing on nature and he interactions between nature and society. NINA's more than 300 scientists come from multi-disciplinary backgrounds, including natural and social scientists, economists, data modellers and more, spanning from genetics to ecosystems and landscapes, in freshwater, terrestrial and coastal marine ecosystems. 

CZU (Czech Republic)

Next to its role as Champion User, CZU also provides additional support on (i) requirements engineering, more particular conduct an in-depth analysis of underlying policy frameworks and analysis of strengths and weaknesses of current practices in ecosystem extent mapping and monitoring, (ii) algorithm trade-off and proof-of-concept, more particular conduct in-depth literature review and comprehensive review of state-of-the-art EO integrated solutions, (iii) outreach, more particular the production of a User Handbook.

PATRAS (Greece)

SAEON (South-Africa)

South African Environmental Observation Network (SAEON) is a long-term environmental observation and research facility of the National Research Foundation (NRF). SAEON's three focus areas are environmental observation, data management and education outreach. The Department of Science and Innovation provides core funding for these activities. SAEON has a distributed network of seven nodes, two research infrastructures and a national office. The research network covers the major terrestrial and marine ecosystems in South Africa and supports well over 100 researchers and students a year. 

VAST (Vietnam)

The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) is an agency attached to the Government, performing the function of basic research on natural sciences and technological development; providing scientific arguments for scientific and technological management and formulating policies, strategies, socio-economic development planning; and training highly qualified scientific and technological human resources. 

IAVH (Columbia

The Institute Humboldt is in charge of conducting basic and applied research on the biotic, hydrobiological and genetic resources of the country's flora and fauna, and of preparing and forming the scientific inventory of biodiversity in the national territory. To achieve its mission, the Institute promotes, conducts and coordinates research with entities of the National Environmental System (Sina), territorial entities, academia, government, private sector, indigenous people, black, Afro-Colombian, Raizal, Palenquero, peasant and fishermen communities, and organized civil society, at the national, regional and local levels, based on data, information and knowledge that seek to explain the interactions of species among themselves and with their environment, including human beings.
